Day 1

  • Pick up at Sibiu International Airport.

  • Begin with a tasting of the famous "Cognac de Urwegen."

  • Indulge in a barbecue featuring locally seasonal sourced produce.

  • Delight in a tasting of the best Romanian sparkling wines.

Day 2
​

  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast.

  • Embark on a brief visit to the vineyards of the main wine makers in Gârbova, where the Romans initiated this two thousand year tradition.

  • Explore the cellars of the wine makers and treat your palate to a tasting of the 7 local wonders: Pinot Gris white, Pinot Gris Rose, Rhine Riesling, Feteasca Regala, Traminer, Neuburger, along with some delightful surprises.

  • Visit the XIII-century Garbova/Urwegen citadel.

  • Indulge in a prolonged cheese tasting, accompanied by meats and local charcuterie. Of course, wine will be included.

Day 3

  • Start your day with a champagne breakfast.

  • Indulge in a tasting of locally collected honeys, including wild meadow, acacia, and pine forest flavors.

  • Transfer to Sibiu Airport.

The private living room allows for meals to be served in the comfort of your own personal space.

The Theresa Room
 

Enjoy a stay in a beautifully converted chicken coop with modern touches but traditional essence. The Theresa Room benefits of the largest bathroom of all rooms, fully fitted with a walk-in shower. The warm atmosphere of the room created by it's specific decorative lights and queen sized bed provide the perfect environment to relax after a day full of activities at The Saxon House. Complete privacy is achieved thanks to the premium curtains selected specifically for this room.

The Maria Room is a cozy, but spacious room designed specifically for the needs of a Saxon House guest. The Diana Room is an intimate room that stands out from the rest thanks to the hundreds of years old wooden beams circling the asymmetrical windows that were once doors.
