Basic Terms and Conditions for Motorcycle Tours
With the submission of your booking form or email request and payment of your tour deposit, you agree that you have read and accepted all Terms and Conditions of this agreement as a binding contract between The Saxon House (thesaxonhouse.com) and you, the client

Motorcycle & Guided Tour Reservation and Deposit
On acceptance of the tour prices quoted – a deposit is required to confirm the booking.
A deposit equal to 25% of the total cost of the booking is required to establish and hold a reservation. The remaining amount will be paid once the client has arrived at The Saxon House.

All vehicle riders must be 21 years or older, have had a full and valid motorcycle license for at least 24 months, and hold a full and valid motorcycle license for riding in Romania. The vehicle rider must produce his/her current driving license before commencing a rental.

Riders are required to know how to ride a motorcycle. Any riders that are unable to ride when joining a tour will be excluded from the tour and no refund offered. This is a very important clause as your safety is in our hands and if you are unable to ride you are then putting yourself and the others at risk.

A valid identity document or passport and driving license must be produced on the collection of all motorcycles. No license = no ride.
The vehicle rider and The Saxon House will jointly check the condition of the vehicle and tires before signing the contract.
Motorcycles are handed out with a full tank and must return with a full tank. The client is also liable for any gas costs throughout the tours.
Vehicle riders are responsible for the cost of any damage to the bike while it is in their care unless the damage has been caused by an identified third party.
A 500eur cash fully refundable security deposit is required on arrival to cover any damages that may be caused by the rider. The deposit will be refunded in full at the end of the stay if no damages occur, excluding normal wear and tear.
The Saxon House is not liable for any injuries caused to the rider by the improper or unsafe use of the motorcycles.

All minor damages under 500 euro will be paid for by the client. If it is possible we will fix the bikes ourselves, in this case, the renter will pay only for the parts. The Saxon House reserves the right to choose if it can offer this service to the client or not.
If the vehicle is returned undamaged and no damage has been caused to anybody else’s property whilst renting the vehicle, the damage deposit will be returned in full.

If the vehicle is returned damaged or with parts missing, the damage deposit shall be forfeited in part or in whole by the client.
When riding The Saxon House motorcycles, vehicle riders must wear a suitable helmet. For the vehicle rider’s safety,
The Saxon House strongly recommends that suitable clothing such as motorcycle jackets, trousers, leathers, gloves, boots, etc. are worn. The Saxon House is not liable for any damages arising from the acts of the vehicle renter which might result in injury, death, or other damage to the vehicle rider, his property, his family, heirs or assigns.

The Saxon House vehicles shall be driven exclusively by the riders who appear on the contract. The vehicle is non-transferable. It is valid only for the period and persons specified in the contract.

Disobeying Traffic Laws and Unsafe Group Behaviour
If the rider does not comply with local traffic laws or does not practice safe group travel practices as described by the tour leader and by guidelines provided by The Saxon House, the agreement with the rider may be canceled and riding privileges will be suspended. Riding privileges will be suspended for anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Participants agree to refrain from alcoholic beverages until the motorcycles have been parked for the night.

Excluded From Tour Price
All items not mentioned as included and all items of a personal nature. Everything that is included in the tour price is written on the Book A Tour page. Our single-rider package includes your chosen room, motorcycle(s), guided motorcycle tours, breakfast and dinner, snacks during the day, local wine and brandy, and airport transfer from Sibiu International Airport. ​

Weather Conditions
The Saxon House strives to schedule its tours at a time of the year when the weather in the touring area is usually pleasant for motorcycling. Many tours pass through areas where weather conditions can change very suddenly and significantly. Understandably, Sku Adventures cannot be held liable for unpleasant or unsuitable weather conditions, and no refunds are made for such conditions.

Cancellation Fee and Refunds
If you provide written notice of your intention to cancel the trip 15 days or more before its scheduled commencement, there will be a 50% deposit forfeiture.
If you cancel 15 days or less prior to the scheduled commencement, the total trip cost will be forfeited.
No refunds will be made to participants who drop out after the trip has begun or who sustained injury and cannot continue the tour or rental. No exceptions to this policy will be made for any reason.
We strongly recommend the customer either obtain trip cancellation insurance from an insurance company.

Health/Medical/ Travel Insurance
The Saxon House recommends that customers take out adequate travel, health, and accident insurance as well as trip cancellation insurance.

Fine And Offences
The client is liable for all fines and court costs for parking, traffic, or other offenses incurred by the client during the tour. The vehicle renter must pay the appropriate authority any fines and costs if and when the authority demands this payment. In addition, a €20 administration fee may apply.
As part of your rental agreement, you authorize us to forward your contact details to the police, for any speed camera fines which may arrive in the post after you've left the country.

Photographic Material
Any photographic material produced by The Saxon House or its representatives are the property of The Saxon House. The copyright remains with The Saxon House. The Saxon House can use all of this material for advertising and marketing purposes without any charge from the vehicle client arising for The Saxon House

Terms of payment:
Cash, Electronic Funds Transfer, or credit card on demand, we honor VISA and MASTERCARD Only.
Deposits must be made to cover the insurance excess on the motorcycle.
The Saxon House is not liable for third-party liability claims against the rider or renter.
